Whoa!
I was looking at the photo in my last post and I scrolled down and looked at the image in Day Two and I noticed that the pinecone closed. I was very surprised. We kept that pinecone in a bin in our backyard for a couple of years. I'm surprised that it didn't change then, but now it's finally closing. It might be because of the humidity in there, but I'm not sure.

This is an interesting project. I'll keep checking your progress. I watched a program on Planet Green a while back where they do "green makeovers" to help people reduce their ecological footprint. One of the things they did for one couple was to set up a worm composting bin in their kitchen to help reduce the garbage they create and make some good compost, too. I'm thinking of doing the same at my house. Worms are great.
